Raising children comes with challenges. As a mom, you do what you can, do your best, there is no manual. There is always something I'm not too proud of by the end of a busy day: too stressed, impatient, short tempered, not taking enough time for important things etc. etc. But today, I was pretty proud of myself. My oldest daughter has given her first origami workshop in Amsterdam! It was my idea, I set up a facebook page for her, I got her enthusiastic from the moment I mentioned it, we took action and she gave the workshop today. She even had customers, paying customers! The thing I am really really proud of is that I taught her something important. She made money doing something that she loves. We're talking about less than 10 euros by the way. She makes money sometimes by doing chores in the house. I tried to make her see the difference. I hope the penny drops. Ofcourse not everybody is in the position to make a living out of what they love but somehow, I'm convinced that you can work your way towards doing what you love, no matter how much time it takes.
